Access for All Community Day | Global Goals Arts Celebration
Description

Free Admission all day!
Join us for The Global Goals Art Celebration this August! We will kick off the event with an opening reception in conjunction with Art Happy Hour on Thursday, August 14, and a preview of artworks in Stanley Works Center from international artists. The celebration continues on Saturday, August 16, with a drop-in art-making workshop and a mini symposium.
The Museum is partnering with BIDEC INC, a non profit agency based in Maryland, USA, and Ghana, Africa, to inspire profound change and catalyze impactful progress on the global stage through the power of arts. The Global Goals Arts Festival envisions leveraging art's transformative power to inspire global engagement with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aims to cultivate a world where creativity fosters collective action towards a more sustainable, equitable, and inclusive future.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Ghana Dance Ensemble was not able to travel for this celebration. Unfortunately, that means there will not be a musical or dance performance for this event. But there will still be hands-on art-making and works on view by international artists, in addition to all the current special exhibitions at the Museum that you can see for free on this day!
You and your family can enjoy Free Admission all day once a month, thanks to generous support provided by Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program.
