Join docent Mona Cappuccio for a gallery talk on Graydon Parrish’s The Cycle of Terror and Tragedy. After the 2001 collapse of the World Trade Center twin towers due to a terrorist attack, Graydon Parrish was asked to submit a proposal to commemorate the tragedy. Parrish worked on the commission from 2002 to July 2006. He painstakingly drew numerous drawings and labored to make this painting as perfect as possible. Join us for an in depth look at this work of art and learn more about the artist behind the work.
Mona Cappuccio has her degree in Fine Arts and Art History and is a practicing artist studying with several nationally known artists.  Having spent 20+ years in IT/project management at the Aetna and she has worked for Newington Public Schools before returning to her love of art as a painter and a docent at NBMAA.
